I must say after a year and a half in LA, I get really excited about chances to explore different cultures in our grand city. This weekend's event offerings include a great show about a variety of New Yorkers, amazing performers and Soul Food vendors taking over the Crenshaw district AND an authentic Caribbean Carnival! Between the catfish and curry, you'll be stuffed!

Temple Dance Traditions of Manipur

11th Annual Los Angeles Latino International Film Festival
LALIFF presents feature films, documentaries, shorts and special side bar screenings from the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain and Portugal. The films presented at the festival showcase a wide variety of themes by Latino filmmakers, producers, writers and actors, as well as movies that depict Latino culture. It is a competitive festival with prizes and a venue where filmmakers come together with buyers and distributors.

2nd Annual Taste of Soul
Festival
Over 50,000 people will descend on Crenshaw Blvd for this annual food and music festival featuring Angie Stone, Rashaan Patterson, Gary Taylor, Evelyn "Champagne" King, Leon Ware, and the Polyester Players. This "Ultimate Family Affair” includes live music stages, 150 vendor booths, a live "Cooking Demonstration" stage, and health awareness, kids safety & career recruitment pavilions.

Pomona Art Walk
