Anyways, maybe it's in celebration of my new year but this weekend there are some fabulous things to do around town including the Lobster, Abbot Kinney, Grand Avenue and Watts Fests.

12th Annual Redondo Beach Lobster Festival
This three-day beach fest is the "Original Lobster Festival" with musical entertainment, a children's stage, lobsters, food, drink, dancing, and a fun day in the sun.

Abbot Kinney Festival
Venice will take to the streets to celebrate its 101 years of community at the 22nd annual Abbot Kinney Festival. 2 stages of live music, dancers and performance artists, a spectacular children's court, 3 food areas, a Spirit Garden, Art Pavilion and over 300 vendors featuring original, handcrafted goods. Over 125,000 attendees!

31st Annual Simon Rodia
Watts Towers Jazz Festival
The City's first Jazz festival features performances from both established and emerging musicians from the area. The festival pays tribute to the roots of Jazz in Gospel and Blues, and takes it to the Avant Garde and the Latin Jazz scene. Ongoing tours of the Watts Towers are available.

The West Hollywood Book Fair
This is one of Southern California’s most eclectic literary events attracting over 20,000 readers and writers of all ages and interests. 4th Annual South Los Angeles Bolero Festival
