HAMMER LECTURES: APERTURE WEST: HANK WILLIS THOMAS
My college friend, photog Hank Willis Thomas’ work focuses on commodity culture and the impact of violence in African American communities. Hank’s work was previously at the Studio Museum in Harlem, PS1, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and National Portrait Gallery. Most recently, he was awarded the 1st Aperture West Book Prize. This event also includes a lecture.
